Andrew Sachs (natural Andreas Siegfried Sachs, April 7, 1930) is a British actor.

Sachs was innate within Berlin, Germany. A personal moved to England while Andrew was eight years old to escape a Nazi persecution of Jews. Sachs is better known for his role when Manuel, a Spanish waiter in the sitcom Fawlty Towers, & is at present ofttimes heard as a storyteller of television and radio documentaries. He is married to Melody Lang, who appeared within 1 episode of Fawlty Towers, 'Basil a Rat', when Mrs Taylor.

Sachs performed all the voices in the English-language version of Jan Švankmajer's 1994 film Faust.

He hwhen too appeared as Skagra in the webcast/audio version of the Doctor Who story Shada that was completed by Big Finish Productions around 2003. Withwithin 2002 & once more in 2004 he played Dr. John Watson in two series of original Sherlock Holmes stories for BBC Radio 4, which starred Clive Merrison as the famous consulting detective.
